Assembly Member Eileen Bell has welcomed the decision to postpone Inquiry on the Geddis Farm application for residential development.
Councillor Mrs Bell said:
“I have to congratulate not only the Planning Department but also the residents of Helens Bay who have waged a concerted and effective campaign against the erosion of the Green Belt in this area.”
“While I am very interested and a trifle concerned at the last minute amendments to the plans I am glad that it has been postponed and that we will have time to look closer at this new application. “
“I have a meeting arranged with the Minister Sam Foster and I am sure the Helens Bay residents will take this opportunity to advise the Minister of their concerns and their proposals for a development that would be amenable to all”.
