The Alliance Councillor said: “This is brilliant news and it demonstrates that strong progress that can be made as regards addressing peace walls.
“I want to praise the work of the community in the area in bringing about this change and this is a very significant day.
“I am very pleased that an Alliance Minister has helped to bring forward this progress on tackling division and this demonstrates vision and ambition on this extremely important issue. I also welcome the progress that is being made on addressing another interface barrier in the area too.”
