Alliance South Antrim MLA David Ford has said he is shocked and saddened after two people died following a light aircraft crash in Co Antrim.
The plane came down close to Nutts Corner around 12.20pm today (Thursday), crashing in a field and catching fire.
“This is shocking and sad news,” said Mr Ford.
“I want to pass on my condolences to the loved ones of the victims of this crash at what must be a terrible time.
“I also wish to thank those emergency services who attended the scene, as well as members of the public who were there and did what they could to help those who have now tragically passed away.”
