David Ford MLA said: “I hope that this sale will lead to more investment opportunities at the airport.
“Following this sale, I hope that the Executive will seek to work with the new owners, local businesses and airline companies, as we seek to increase the number of destinations available from the airport.
“Transport links play a key role as we look to attract more foreign investment to Northern Ireland, so any new route could be a big boost to our local economy.
“I hope to meet the airport’s management team to discuss their plans following this sale.”
