Fitzpatrick sadness at death of two teenagers in Castlerock

East Londonderry Alliance Representative Barney Fitzpatrick has expressed deep sadness at the death of two teenagers following a suspected carbon monoxide leak in Castlerock. Another male was taken from the holiday apartment at Tunnel Brae Court to Causeway Hospital.

Cllr Barney Fitzpatrick said: “This is extremely tragic news. I want to pass on my sincere condolences to the families and friends of the two teenagers who have died.

“I am deeply saddened that two young people with such bright futures ahead of them have passed away and the whole community in the area and in Newtownabbey will be in a state of shock about this.

“We need to see a full investigation into the circumstances surrounding this terrible tragedy.”
