Fitzpatrick condemns those responsible for Portrush shooting

Alliance Coleraine Councillor Barney Fitzpatrick has condemned those responsible for a shooting which took place in Portrush on Tuesday night. Several masked men entered a house on Windsor Place, where they shot a 21 year old man in both legs. He was taken to hospital.

Cllr Barney Fitzpatrick said: “I am appalled at the callous and brutal nature of this attack. There can be no justification for this shooting.

“My thoughts are with this young man who was shot in both legs. I hope he will be able to make a full recovery from the injuries he sustained.

“If anybody has any information about this shooting then I would urge them to contact the police.”
