Dunlop slams Ballymena school arsonists

Ballymena Alliance representative Jayne Dunlop has condemned those that carried out an arson attack on a school in Ballymena on Sunday. A mobile classroom at St Louis Primary School on the Cullybackey Road was damaged in the fire.

Jayne Dunlop said: “I strongly condemn those involved in this wanton act of arson. This is one of a number of attacks on this school this year, and it is very upsetting for parents, pupils and staff alike.

“It is a small minority of people that carry out such attacks, and the majority of people would send their support to all those involved with the school.

“On an almost daily basis we hear of attacks on schools, churches and Orange Halls in the North Antrim area. These type of attacks must stop now.

“If we are to continue to build a stable community in Northern Ireland such despicable acts must be eradicated for good. Anyone with information on this attack should contact police immediately.”
