Cllr Sara Duncan said: “This scheme will provide much needed housing in the Newtownbreda area for older people and families.
“As with many parts of Northern Ireland , there is a very high demand for social housing in this area and hopefully this development will ease that pressure.
“I am also glad that PSNI recommendations have been incorporated in the design of this housing in order to ensure that those who will live there will feel safer from burglars and nuisance callers. The high level of energy efficiency that has been built into the units is also very welcome because it will help older people who have struggled with fuel bills over the past year.”
