Alliance Larne Lough Councillor Danny Donnelly has condemned those behind security alerts at local schools.

Threatening letters were received by Larne High School today (Monday), stating two devices had been left in the vicinity of the school, as well as Inver Primary School. Police searched the locations but have stated they believe the reports to be hoaxes.

“This will have been extremely frightening incidents for pupils and staff, as well as parents with children at the schools,” said Councillor Donnelly.

“I utterly condemn those behind these letters, which did nothing except disrupt and disturb everyone at the school. I am thankful all pupils and staff are safe.

“I urge anyone with information on this incident to contact police with it immediately.”
