Dickson tells those behind Derry shootings to stop their criminal actions

Alliance Justice spokesperson Stewart Dickson MLA has called on those behind the shooting of two men in Derry on Wednesday night to stop their criminal actions. Two men were shot in Garten Square but their injuries are not life threatening. Earlier, a protest was held against Republican Action Against Drugs group who have issued threats against the lives of several men in Derry.

Stewart Dickson MLA said: “I am calling on the people behind these shootings to stop their criminal actions. The people of Derry do not want this violence on their streets.

“Last night the public demonstrated their opposition to these type of attacks and I would urge those responsible to take note and hand in their weapons to police.

“I hope that the two men injured last night will be able to make a full recovery.

“The people responsible for these attacks are clearly very dangerous individuals and must be urgently apprehended by the police. So I would urge anybody with any information about these shootings to contact the police.”
