Cochrane discusses Ulster Rugby Academy with sponsors Phoenix Gas at Ulster match

As the vice chair of the All Party Assembly Group on Rugby, Judith is keen to see rugby developed right across Northern Ireland from the grassroots up to the professional game.

Judith Cochrane MLA said, “It was great to have the opportunity to hear from Gary about the great work that the Ulster Rugby Academy is doing. In the last 3 years, 38 players have come through the Academy which is sponsored by Phoenix Gas. Of those players, 30 now have full time professional contracts which is one of the best success rates anywhere in Europe.

“The support that Phoenix Gas has given to this aspect of development is fantastic.”
