Stewart Dickson MLA said: “Whoever is responsible for this failed attack is out to kill and cause serious injury. I condemn their actions and call on them to stop.
“There can never be any justification for this action, it will not achieve anything.
“I am only glad that nobody was hurt in this attack and I would like to again pay tribute to the work of the police and the army in putting themselves in harm’s way at this incident.
“If anybody has any information about this pipe bomb then I would urge them to contact the police.”
