Stewart Dickson MLA said: “I am deeply concerned by this attempt to murder police officers for the second time in two nights. There is no place in our society for this type of violence.
“Lives could have been lost in this shooting.
“I fully support our police officers and I know the vast majority of the public will oppose the actions of those responsible for this attack.
“If anybody has any information about this shooting then I would urge them to contact the police as soon as possible.”
