The UK-wide Independents’ Day, being held tomorrow (Saturday), is designed to support independent retailers. East Belfast MLA Mrs Cochrane said it was important the public supported their local traders, particularly in difficult economic times.
“Independents’ Day is a great opportunity that has the potential to give serious help to small businesses. I have always been a big advocate of local traders and know they need all the assistance they can get.
“We need to take every opportunity there is to protect and nurture our independent traders throughout Northern Ireland. Taking part in Independents’ Day is the perfect way to do just that.”
