Cochrane and Lyttle shocked by attack on man in East Belfast

Alliance East Belfast representatives Judith Cochrane and Chris Lyttle have expressed their shock at an attack on a man in his home on the Newtownards Road area in the early hours of Thursday morning. The man was struck over the head with a handgun and was threatened with a knife.

Judith Cochrane said: “This was a shocking and despicable attack on a man in his own home. The thugs who carried out this attack obviously have no thoughts about the consequences of their actions.

Chris Lyttle said: “I hope this man is able to make a swift recovery from his injuries. These men are callous individuals and should be stopped before they carry out any more attacks.

“If anybody has any information about this attack then I would urge them to contact the police.”
