Clarke condemns Dundrum shooting

Alliance Down Councillor Patrick Clarke has condemned those responsible for a shooting which took place at a house on Church Avenue in Dundrum at 2am on Tuesday morning. Shots were fired at the front door of the house, but the two men who were in the property at the time were not injured.

Cllr Patrick Clarke said: “I am shocked that this shooting took place in a quiet residential area. The people responsible obviously have no regards for the consequences of their actions.

“Somebody could have been seriously injured or worse.

“There is no place for this sort of violence on our streets. The public must help the Police catch whoever is responsible, so I would urge anybody with any information about this shooting to contact the authorities.”
