Cllr Tom Campbell said: “It’s difficult to comprehend the mindset of those who would carry out acts of this nature. The blatant disregard shown by those involved in this is appalling.
“My thoughts are with those who were in the two flats at the time and those who own these cars, as this must have been a very harrowing experience for them.
“I sincerely hope that those behind this incident are caught and I call on anyone with information to contact police immediately to assist them to apprehend those involved.”
