Alliance Health Spokesperson Paula Bradshaw has welcomed the Minister’s announcement of a serious adverse incident investigation into Craigavon Hospital.

The South Belfast MLA stated: “Our immediate thoughts are with the families who have lost loved ones to Covid-19 in the past few days.

“The announcement of this investigation is welcome, as it is concerning that having identified health settings as the locations most vulnerable to Covid-19 now four deaths have sadly occurred in a single hospital.

“Such investigations have been justifiably criticised in the past for not getting to the real detail and not delivering real change. This one must be thorough, robust and far-reaching, and provide the answers the families have every right to seek.”
