A family escaped injury after their home at Rinvarna Court was targeted on Sunday night. They were later taken to hospital as a precaution.
Councillor Yvonne Boyle said: “This attack could have been so much worse and it is extremely lucky that nobody was seriously hurt. My thoughts are with the family at this difficult time.
“Everyone has the right to feel safe in their own home. Those behind this attack should not be allowed to bring fear into the community and needs to be apprehended.
“If anyone has any information about this attack I would urge them to contact the PSNI as soon as possible.”
