Bombardier contract a boost for East Belfast – Lyttle

Alliance East Belfast MLA Chris Lyttle has welcomed the £70 million contract for Bombardier Aerospace Belfast to manufacture components for the company’s C Series and the Learjet 85 aircraft. Several other companies in Northern Ireland will also benefit from the contract through the manufacture of other components such as software.

Chris Lyttle MLA said: “This is magnificent news for one of the most renowned companies in East Belfast. It will be a major boost to the Northern Ireland economy.

“It is a massive vote of confidence in the Belfast operation by Bombardier and shows that we still have a manufacturing sector that can attract global investment.

“I would like to pay tribute to all those involved in this successful contract. I hope that there will be many more over the coming years.”
