Cllr John Blair said: “I am disgusted by the threats and intimidation which have forced Ms Seeley to leave her position at the Boys’ Model School. No-one should be put through this type of ordeal. All political parties should unequivocally condemn these threats.
“I would like to offer her my full support and I hope that she will find a new school quickly.
“I would also like to pay tribute to the pupils who spoke up for their teacher. Their courageous actions stand in stark contrast to the despicable people responsible for these threats.
“No-one should face threats or intimidation as a result of their political views. Political parties must work together to ensure that this incident does not happen again.”
