Alliance Councillor David Armitage has condemned those behind a crude bomb packed with nails, which was used to target a home in East Belfast.
The incident occurred in the Bloomfield Road area on Saturday morning,
Councillor Armitage said: “This is an extremely worrying incident and I must condemn all those behind this callous attack.
“Everyone has the right to feel safe in their homes and my thoughts are with the victim as she recovers and moves on from this ordeal.
“East Belfast is a fantastic place to live and work and I am extremely disappointed that there are some who have chosen to attempt to tarnish this good reputation. But they will not be successful and our community will remain united and strong.
“I would urge anyone with information to contact the PSNI as soon as possible to allow those responsible to be removed from our streets.”
