Alliance selects Vasundhara Kamble for Fermanagh and South Tyrone

The Alliance Party has selected Vasundhara Kamble to stand in Fermanagh and South Tyrone in the Westminster election.

Vasundhara Kamble said: “I am very pleased to have been selected as Alliance candidate for Fermanagh and South Tyrone.

“Alliance is the only party that puts the needs of all ahead of the constitutional issue. Alliance is helping deliver change from the divided society which has harmed us all, to a united community where cash is spent on frontline services, instead duplicating segregated services.

“Because I come from India where caste discrimination is a serious problem I understand the issues here, and Alliance is the only party that can truly resolve these problems. There have been many atrocities committed simply because of someone’s background in both the area I come from in India and in Northern Ireland, and I want to see an end to all forms of prejudice everywhere.

“Alliance is the only strong alternative voice against tribalism.”
