Kieran McCarthy MLA said: “Recently Sir Reg Empey said that because David Ford was not a unionist he couldn’t be Justice Minister, now the UUP have decided to support an SDLP candidate. Where is the logic in that?
“I wonder will the SDLP will be pleased to be seen as unionist enough for the UUP?
“The Ulster Unionists are running around like headless chickens trying to cause trouble because they cannot get used to the fact that they are only the third biggest party now.
“Does anybody, including themselves, know where they really stand on anything anymore?”
