Naomi Long MLA stated: “The tribal parties must not be allowed to play around with the future of local children.
“Academic selection must not be used as a political football in Northern Ireland.
“Any decision must be made on the basis of which option is best for the children of Northern Ireland.
“It is disgraceful that parties are trying to horse-trade on this issue. Alliance wants the best for local children and we will continue to put education and the needs of young people at the forefront of party policy.”
