The 19-year-old was stabbed in the back in the Dublin Road area around 8.25pm yesterday (Monday) after an altercation between a number of people. He is in serious condition in hospital.
“I am shocked and horrified this stabbing occurred in Antrim,” said Councillor Kelly.
“It is baffling someone could carry out an attack like this. A life could have been lost and because of it, a man remains in serious condition in hospital.
“I hope he is able to recover from his injuries and I would encourage anyone with information to contact the police immediately.”
