Farry saddened by death of young girl in road accident

Alliance North Down MLA Stephen Farry has expressed his condolences to the family of a young girl who has died after she was hit by a car in Bangor on Thursday. The incident happened on Irvine Park. She was taken to hospital by an ambulance but later died from her injuries.

Stephen Farry MLA said: “I was very saddened to learn of the death of this young girl. I would like to send my deepest condolences to her family and friends at what must be a difficult time for them.

“The death of this young girl has shocked the local community. This is an absolute tragedy.

“This incident has shown the importance of all road users being vigilant for others. We must ensure that no more lives are lost on our roads. Even one death on our roads is one too many.”
