Trevor Lunn MLA said: “The DUP and Sinn Féin have to get serious about ending segregation in our schools system. They only way to do this is through more integrated and shared education.
“This must not be about attacking one sector or another. It must be about having more sharing or integration.
“They need to stop bickering between themselves on this and start addressing the massive cost of division, particularly given the fact we are facing up to potentially serious cuts in public finances.
“How ironic it is that discussion of ending segregation in education has turned into a tribal bunfight. Trust the DUP and Sinn Féin to make the issue of ending division into a tribal battle.
“People can see the need to end division and to be quick in doing so. Alliance makes this our top priority and we will push DUP and Sinn Féin every step of the way on this.”
