Alliance Upper Bann representatives Sheila McQuaid and Harry Hamilton have condemned the attack on Dolores Kelly of the SDLP in Lurgan on Friday. A brick was thrown through her car window screen which caused injury to her hand.
Sheila McQuaid said: “This was a despicable attack on a politician who has every right to stand and take part in democratic elections. I am shocked that there are those in our society who would carry out such an attack.”
Hary Hamilton said: “I wish Dolores a speedy recovery from her injuries. The people behind this attack are offering nothing to the community.
“If anybody has any information about this attack then they must contact the police.”
