Cllr Mervyn Jones said: “No person should be threatened in their own street and especially not in a racist manner.
“After last months racist attacks on the Romanian families in South Belfast, I had hoped that we would not see any more racially motivated crimes in Northern Ireland. The Northern Ireland Executive must continue to promote good relations and to stamp out racism.
“We must all work together to ensure that Northern Ireland is as welcoming as possible for everybody.”
