The Opposition MLA said: “With the talks, the DUP and Sinn Fein are trying to give the impression that they are doing their best to deliver. The reality is very different. They are in a crisis of their own making. Their brinkmanship and immature political games caused these problems. The Stormont Executive has not met for three months and the public are very annoyed about their failure to get back to work.
“The DUP and Sinn Fein cannot sell the talks as a smokescreen to hide their failures in government. They are happy to play games while the problems build up in Northern Ireland.”
“People want to see government that works. This one obviously does not, so I would urge the Executive parties to get back to tackling important issues now, instead of running away from them.”
