Trevor Lunn MLA stated: “I broadly welcome this statement. Even though it did not provide real meat on the bones of her post-11 plus plans, it is a step in the right direction.
“It recognises the absolute necessity for schools to co-operate on all levels on a cross-sectoral basis.
“We do, however, have real concerns about the position of the transferors, who yet again appear to have been sidelined.
“I would urge the Minister to admit this glaring inequality and give the Protestant clergy the opportunity to continue their input, as of right, in this important debate.”
