Webb condemns North Belfast robbery

Alliance Party North Belfast candidate Cllr Billy Webb has condemned the robbery of a flat on Cliftonville Avenue in which a man was hit on the head and legs with a bat. The robbery occurred on Wednesday night during which the robbers made off with a sum of money.

Cllr Billy Webb said: “I am shocked at the brutal nature of this incident. The sheer callousness of the robbers disgusts me.

“I would like to wish this man a speedy recovery from the injuries he sustained during this robbery.

“I would urge anybody with any information about this attack to contact the police. The police must ensure that these people are taken off our streets and face the full rigours of the law.”
