Cllr Billy Webb said: “It is imperative that these thugs are caught swiftly. The fact that one of the robbers was wielding a knife shows the potential level of danger posed and they must be taken off our streets quickly.
“It is staggering that this robbery took place at this time, a fairly busy period of the day, and the local community is shocked at this incident.
“Anyone who saw anything which could help police catch these individual must contact the police immediately.”
