Cllr Billy Webb said: “I am sickened by this attack on this man in his own home. These gunmen offer nothing to our society. This type of attack belongs in the past and should have been left there.
“My thoughts go out to this man and I hope he recovers from his injuries.
“Any body with any information about this incident should contact the police to ensure that these men can not continue to cause terror on our streets.”
