North Down Alliance Councillor Tony Hill has condemned the weekend attack on the Castle campus at Bangor Academy.
Cllr Hill said: “This was pointless, mindless vandalism. I understand that the work of some of the pupils has been destroyed and that is something which must be condemned.”
“The people who suffer most in these awful circumstances are the school children, but those behind this sickening act of wanton destruction need to be taught a different lesson.”
“Education budgets are not bottomless and this damage will have to paid for somehow. This is the last thing Bangor Academy needs as children prepare for important examinations.”
“I sincerely hope this is the last incident of this kind, and would ask the police to do what they can to bring those responsible to justice.”
