Alliance representative for Lisburn South Alderman Amanda Grehan has said the community is in shock following reports of a murder in the Finch Gardens area.

Alderman Grehan said: “There is great shock in the local community following news of the death of Natasha Melendez and I offer my deepest sympathies to her family and friends.

“Police are reporting that she was assaulted at a house in Finch Gardens on Sunday 22nd March and I would urge anyone with information to pass it to police on the 101 number or anonymously to the Crimestoppers charity on 0800 555 111.”
