David Ford stated: “There is nothing further to discuss about the UDA. The only thing people want to hear is that it is going away and staying away.
“No one is interested in further excuses. The opportunity exists for people caught up in this organisation to move on, and for people threatened by it to have the threat lifted. That is all there is to discuss.
“There is nothing to fear about a society free of paramilitarism.”
