Ms Bradshaw was in touch with health officials early on Monday afternoon, as Northern Ireland prepared for an onslaught of dangerous conditions.
She said: “The next few hours could see conditions deteriorate rapidly, with the demand on our health service increasing. Our hospitals and staff and prepared and ready to deal with whatever storm Ophelia sends their way.
“Having been in touch with health officials earlier today, I also want to add my voice of support to the many health professionals who will be venturing out into dangerous conditions to help others across Northern Ireland.
“I would also remind people to take all measures to keep themselves safe and that if leaving the house isn’t a necessity then they should cancel plans and stay indoors.”
