O’Lynn expresses anger following town robbery

Alliance Ballymena Councillor Patricia O’Lynn has expressed her anger following a robbery at a shop in the town.

Just before 9am today (Sunday), a man armed with a knife entered a shop on the Cushendall Road and made off with cash and cigarettes. He is described as being 6ft and wearing a dark navy hooded fur coat.

“My thoughts are with the staff of the shop who had to experience this thuggish ordeal,” said Councillor O’Lynn.

“This was a dangerous act, with the individual behind it showing no regard for others. I’ve no doubt this has left those in the shop shaken.

“I urge anyone with information on this incident to report it to police immediately.”
