Alliance East Antrim MLA Stewart Dickson has condemned those behind a gun attack on a man in the Carrickfergus area.

Late on Sunday night the PSNI revealed officers attended an incident at Cypress Place in the town where a man has sustained gunshot wounds to his leg.
Mr Dickson said: “This was a brutal attack. There is absolutely no excuse for this sort of action in our community and I utterly condemn it.

“Those determined to take violence onto our streets need to stop immediately. Their actions will not deter a community who has come together in the fight against Covid-19 from moving forward together.

“I would urge anyone with information to contact the PSNI as soon as possible.”
