Alliance Councillor Kate Nicholl has condemned those behind a burglary at the Rainbow Project offices overnight.
A number of laptops were stolen in the attack on the charity, who’s main focus in the health and wellbeing of the LGBT community in Northern Ireland.
Councillor Kate Nicholl said: “It is completely unacceptable that any charity or local business should find itself faced with these scenes upon staff arriving to work. Those behind this must be condemned, both for the act and the signal it sends to the wider community.
“The Rainbow Project provides an essential service for everyone it supports and I would urge anyone with information to contact the PSNI as soon as possible.
Alliance sends our best wishes and support to The Rainbow Project, who have responded to this attack on their offices with such dignity, I’d urge those who wish to show their support to do so by attending any of the upcoming events in Pride Week.”
