Neeson welcomes 300 job boost for Londonderry

Alliance Economy Spokesperson Seán Neeson MLA has hailed news that a software company based in Londonderry is to create 300 new jobs, stating that we need to continue this positive employment trend to ensure sustainable growth in our economy. The software services provider, Stream, is based in the Ulster Science and Technology Park on Buncrana Road on the Waterside area of the city.

The East Antrim MLA stated: “Its great news that 300 new jobs are going to be created in Londonderry. It will provide a real boost top the local economy.

“These new software support posts are illustrate that we can compete strongly on the world markets in the area of technology, and they underline the good work done by Stream.

“Northern Ireland has a workforce which is extremely highly skilled in the area of information technology – the Executive must fully-capitalize on this strong skill base to make Northern Ireland a world power in the field of IT. It is absolutely essential that the Executive creates the circumstances which allow our local companies to grow while also attracting inward investment.”
