Cllr Seán Neeson said: “I knew Simon very well and he was a very poplar member of the community. His murder was an appalling act that shocked the whole community.
“I would appeal to the community at large for anyone who has information to come forward and help police with their investigation.
“I strongly welcome the Chinese Welfare Association’s plan to raise £15,000 for a reward. Anyone who has any information must contact the police immediately to help bring those behind this despicable act to justice.”
