Local Alliance Councillor Laura McNamee has condemned those responsible for an attack on a man in the Strandburn Crescent area of East Belfast at around 9pm on Wednesday night. A baseball bat was used in the attack and the victim suffered a number of injuries.
Cllr Laura McNamee said: “This must have been a deeply traumatic incident and I am shocked at the level of injuries that this man has suffered. I simply can not understand the mindset of those involved in this vicious attack.
“I hope that this man is able to make a full recovery following this assault.
“If anybody has any information about this attack they must contact the police immediately. Thugs who carry out acts like this need to be taken off our streets and must face the full weight of the law.”
