McGrellis shocked at hijacking of bus in Derry

Alliance Foyle representative Keith McGrellis has expressed his shock at the hijacking and burning of a bus in Derry on Monday night on the Glengalliagh Road in Derry. Three men, one armed with a gun hijacked the bus, ordered people off before setting it on fire.

Keith McGrellis said: “This was a shocking incident which has served no purpose.

“This must have been a traumatic experience for those on the bus, I hope they are able to get over what I am sure was a harrowing experience.

“The people behind this hijacking are reckless individuals who have no thoughts about the consequences of their actions.

“If anybody has any information about this incident then I would urge them to contact the police.”
