McCarthy says North-South sharing of services is key area

On the day that Executive Ministers are meeting Irish Government Ministers in Dublin, Alliance Health Spokesperson Kieran McCarthy MLA has said that North-South sharing of services is an area with massive potential.

Kieran McCarthy MLA said: “This is an important meeting. It is crucial that Executive Ministers work closely with the Irish Government to explore the sharing of services and greater co-operation.

“Cross-border co-operation gives us the potential to ensure top-class shared services and deliver more value for money.

“The planned radiotherapy unit for Altnagelvin is an excellent example of how North-South shared services can help us make the most of public money. There is massive potential in this type of initiative and I hope Ministers will explore the prospect of further sharing.”
