McCarthy outraged at Kilyleagh pipe bomb

Alliance Strangford MLA Kieran McCarthy has expressed his outrage at a pipe bomb attack on a house in Killyleagh. The pipe bomb exploded at the back of the property on Sunday night but no injuries were caused.

Kieran McCarthy MLA said: “I am sickened and outraged at this pipe bomb attack. This is a close community and there is real anger at this incident.

“This pipe bomb had the ability to cause death and injury and should be treated as an attempt to murder those in the area.

“I would urge anybody with any information about this attack to contact the police. I hope that they are able to catch those responsible for this and bring them to justice.”
