McCarthy – Local community in shock at pedestrian death near Kircubbin

Alliance Strangford MLA Kieran McCarthy has expressed his sadness after a young female pedestrian was killed in the early hours of Sunday morning just outside Kircubbin after she was hit by a car. Kieran who is from the area has said that the local community is in shock at her death.

Kieran McCarthy MLA said: “The local community is in shock at the death of this young woman. I am extremely saddened by this tragedy.

“Another life has been needlessly lost on our roads. It is a reminder of the dangers for all road users.

“I would urge everybody to take care on our roads and to be vigilant of others.

“I would like to extend my deepest sympathies to her parents as well as her young son.

“If anybody has any information about this incident then I would urge them to contact the police.”
