McCarthy expresses condolences following airplane crash

Alliance Strangford MLA, Kieran McCarthy, has expressed his condolences following the death of the pilot of a small aircraft that crash landed at Newtownards airfield on Tuesday. No one else was on board.

Kieran McCarthy MLA said: “This was a tragic accident which has shocked many people in the area.

“I would like to express my condolences to the family and friends of this man.

“This was a very serious incident and the family deserve to know what happened. The investigation will be difficult but I hope the authorities will be able to provide some answers.”
